Essay 5 "Memorable day"

I went to Australia to stay with a family for two weeks when I was high school student. I studied English hard as I wanted to get a job concern with English in the future. I like studying English very much. It was my dream that I go abroad someday, so I was very glad to hear I could go abroad. But I felt anxious about my home stay very much as I went abroad by myself and there is no acquaintance in Australia. And I went abroad with hopes and fears. At first I couldn't adapt myself to the environment in Australia because I couldn't make myself understand to them in English easily. So I thought I wanted to go back to Japan many times, but I didn't give up. As I wanted to talk and fraternize, I worked hard to communicate with my host family. And I could socialize. I visited many places with my host family in Australia. They often took me to the zoo and the botanical garden and circus. I watched kangaroo and koala in the zoo. They are very pretty. I went shopping in Sydney and bought many clothes. I also watched and played soccer in the park on holiday. I enjoyed talking with my host family over eating dinner every day. The dinner my host mother cooked was very nice. We talked about many things. They were all hearty and very kind. I was very sad and my eyes were watery when I left them and went back to Japan. I like them very much. I was happy to spend with them. I experienced many things through this home stay. I want to meet them again. 283

Book Review1-3 The Rubbish Monster

I read "The Rubbish Monster". It was a hot day and the classroom was stuffy. This is a story of school. Students take their reading book and go to the park as nobody felt like working in the classroom. But, there was litter everywhere and there was nowhere clean to sit in the park. So they cleaned up instead of studying. And, they made a big monster out of some of the rubbish they had collected. Photographer came and took a picture of the monster and students were famous. They all made sure they put their litter in the bins. I thought it was very wonderful that the park was clean thanks to student's work.

Essay 4 "My favorite animal"

I like animals very much. I talk about animals I like now.
My favorite animal is dog. Dogs are very cute and clever. I have a dog as a pet in my house. Her name is “Miruku”. She is 9 years old and an old dog. But she is very lively and likes walking. When she is walking, she looks like happy very much. Dogs can understand people’s feelings. My dog is same. When I feel down, she goes up to me and sits down. When I am also happy, she frolics with me. Dogs are very clever. When dogs are order to sit by people, they can understand the meaning and sit down. They also can remember their name and their master. Dogs are very great.
My favorite animal is cat. My grandmother has cats as a pet. There are about 5 cats in her house. As she lives alone in her house, she isn’t lonely with cats. She cherishes cats as her child. I sometimes go to her house to play with cats. When I stroke cat’s head, they are very pleased. They are friendly and pretty.
I also like “hamster”. Hamsters are small and very alert in their movement. I often find them in the pet shop. I had a hamster when I was elementary school student. Hamsters are active at night as they are nocturnal. While I sleep at night, they run in the box. Hamsters often eat vegetables and seeds of sunflower. I think the behavior that hamster eats seed of sunflower is very pretty.

My family

There are three people in my family, mother, father and I. We are very friendly. We have a dog as a pet in my house as I am an only child and lonely. My father is a company employee and makes components of computer. He is very clever. When Electrical appliances broke, he repaired it. My mother is a housewife. She cooks dishes and cleans in the house for my family. 71

Drive

I like driving. I often drive to sea and mountain with my friends. I enjoy talking over listening to music. The view I can watch from our car is very beautiful. I want to go far someday as I don't drive far. 42

Spring

I like spring as I think this season is bright image. There are a lot of flowers around road and it is very beautiful. i went to see the cherry blossoms at "Shirakawa" park with my club member last week. We enjoyed chatting over eating foods and drinking alcohol. Blossoms are at their best now and I was very impressed. 60

Essay 3 "My favorite"

My favorite singer is "Otsuka Ai". She is a Japanese singer and sings many songs. She is short, cheerful, sociable and very pretty. She is 24 years old and comes from Osaka. She always writes her song by herself. Songs made by her are very wonderful. Her song makes me happy when I am depressed. Though I like all her songs, the song I like the best is "Sakuranbo". It is famous and positive song. Her song is used as a theme song and movie song.
I want to go to her concert some day. I was going to meet her before, but I could do it. So, I am looking forward to seeing her very much. I like her very much.
My favorite food is "Sweet". I like cake. After I eat dinner, I always eat sweet. Even if I ate sufficiently, I want to eat sweet.
I often go to cake shop and enjoy talking with my friends over eating sweet and drinking coffee. It is very fun. I sometimes make cake and eat it. I also baked a birthday cake for my friend last time. My friend was pleased.
Sweet makes everyone happy. When I am tired, I calm down soon if I eat sweet. I like Christmas and my birthday as I can eat many sweet.
My favorite season is winter. I am exited as there are many events in this season. In Christmas, I hold Christmas party with my friends. We buy a present each other and change it. We also go to city and eat dinner. It is very fun. New Year holiday is winter event. As Relative gather in my house and enjoy talking in January 1, I like the day. Winter is wonderful season. 292
